Deals have been very slow at CVS & Walgreens for the past couple of weeks. But, today I was able to find a few to take advantage of. For the above items I spent $5.59 out of pocket. I received $5.99 in extra care bucks to use next time at CVS and will submit a $4.50 rebate for the pens I purchased at Walgreens.
Here are my transactions from today:
CVS:
(1) Softsoap body wash @ $4.49
used $1 mfc
FP: $3.49...$1.49 after $2 ECB
(2) Pantene @ $2.99 ea
used $3/2 mfc
FP: $1.49 ea...49 cents ea after $2 ECB
(1) Stride gum @ .99
used .50 mfc

(1) Hallmark card @ .99 (not pictured)
Used $4 in ECB to pay
Final total: $4.23 (.61 tax) = $4.84
(also received $1 ECB for green bag tag)
Walgreens:
(3) Pilot Fri Xion gel pens @ $1.19
used $1 Walgreens coupon found in the April Walgreens booklet (near the weekly flier)
this coupon actually takes of $3 ($1 for each pen)
Final total: .57 (.18 tax) = .75
On the back of the pen package there is a rebate form:
buy: 1 pack receive $1.25 rebate
2 packs receive $2.75 rebate
3 packs receive $4.50 rebate
This comes out to be a $3.75 money maker!
