To my surprise, I never knew that you could receive flat rate Priority Mail boxes, envelopes and labels for FREE! These boxes will come in handy for the holidays. You have to sign up for an account here and then choose the supplies you'd like to receive...at no charge. You can also receive a FREE starter kit here.
Okay....so what about the "flat rate"..this could be advantageous if you are shipping/mailing something that is very heavy since the box is free and the heavy weight won't hike up your price; however, might it still be cheaper to get your own box up in the attic :) for things that are lighter? And then just pay standard first class rates? I guess the whole "flat rate" thing is incredibly handy in that you don't have to go to the dreaded post office to have your package weighted and shipping calculated which is of course worth it's weight in gold. I'm interested but wondering if there is some catch with the flat rate thing. let us know if you buy some.
